Cisco CCNA / CCNP Exam Tutorial: Five Debugs You Must Know

To pass the BSCI exam and move one step closer to CCNP certification success, you ve got to know how and when to use debug commands to troubleshoot and verify network operations. While you should never practice debug commands on a production network, it s important to get some hands-on experience with them and not rely on "router simulators" and books to learn about them.
When it comes to RIP, "debug ip rip" is the primary debug to use. This debug will show you the contents of the routing update packets, and is vital in diagnosing RIP version mismatches and routing update authentication issues.
You know how to use the variance command to configure unequal-cost load-sharing with IGRP, but IGRP has no topology table that will give you the feasible successor metrics you need. With IGRP, you need to use the "debug ip igrp transactions" command to get these vital metrics.
Several factors are considered by OSPF-enabled routers when it comes to forming adjacencies, including hello and dead timer settings. If an adjacency doesn t form when you think it should, run "debug ip ospf adj". The reason the adjacency isn t forming is usually seen quickly with this command s output.
Let s not ignore Layer Two! If frame relay mappings are not forming according to your configuration, run "debug frame lmi". This debug will allow you to quickly diagnose and correct any LMI mismatches.
When it comes to PPP, it can be very frustrating to try to spot a problem with a password or username. Instead of staring at the configuration for 10 minutes, run "debug ppp negotiation" and send a ping over the link. This command will help you spot the router with the misconfigured username or password, not to mention saving you a lot of time!
Effectively using debugs during your CCNA and CCNP exam study will help you truly understand what s going on "behind the command" - and it will really come in handy on that day when your production network just isn t doing what you (think) you told it to do!

Dreams of a New Laptop

I want a new laptop. I want my new laptop will be a new, bright and with keys that feel like magic when you press on them and screen resolution second-No. I want to be able to watch my favorite dvds on my computer and see the sweat Bruce Willis in the eye with crystal clear clarity that he dives with another bomb. I want an infinite memory and amazing speed. I want to be able to shoot down a government with it, if I so choose. And play a good game of solitaire too.
There a laptop computer that I think could do all those things, except perhaps to overthrow the government, I think I will have to buy software to do so. ASUS Lamborghini VX2 series VX274UL Intel Core Duo T7400, 2.16GHz (VX274ULYL). Now, I totally did not know that any of this means. I do not techie. I know how to switch to my computer, install some programs, and that their use of it. Jargon is for me. But he said, Lamborghini series that got to be good, and it costs $ 3896 that were to be good, too. If the price is anything to go by him were extremely well, I think. My friend that the laptop cost $ 7792 or so he told me. That would be extremely cool. This probably comes with the software already installed government usurpation. As tempting as this kind of power, I think I will stick with Lamborghini series. Want to start slowly work my way up.
Besides Lamborghini series of nice things said, as " 8 X Super Multi Scribe Light & quot; " and Colour Shine WXGA + wide screen & quot;. And it was built in Webcam. I do not know what I would do with the Webcam. I am very camera shy and very private, the idea of the general public to show my home makes me want to cringe, but I am sure that as soon as I got it, and once I learned how to use it, I never know how I lived without it . I like the sound, while the wide screen, color and brilliance. Should be promising on the resolution front, or this is my ignorance of computer jargon beginning to show? I& 39;m also hoping that at some point someone explain to me exactly, or even in rough outline, what is the GeForce . I will not even guess danger. People will laugh.
I go to the cafe with my new laptop smart, wifi friendly cafes, of course, open it and smile condescendingly at all envious looks that come to me. I accidentally stretch my arms, my fingers, press, and keep them above my magic keyboard while everyone has their breath with anticipation. And then I will order latte and play an active mine minesweeper game. I am very good. My time for the experts are not too bad.
Unfortunately my new laptop only a dream. So much desired Lamborghini series is in any case. Something much more realistic for my meagre budget is the main little HP Intel Celeron or Acer TravelMate or LG Intel at $ 714 - $ 779 price range. And you want to know something? I would like to make her pieces. They say things like " Graphics Media Accelerator " and " WXGA screen & quot;, and they are accompanied by a lot of figures that are absolutely means nothing to me. I am absolutely boggled at the jargon, and I like it. So if your screen resolution is not so brilliant as well 4k laptop. I bet Bruce Willis in sweat will still look just as fab to me. The resolution is so good on all the computers in those days that I probably will not be able to tell the difference anyway. With respect to the memory and speed, I have simple needs and so I do not need a gazillion gigabytes of memory. If I need more, I will get more. I understand that this is possible. So if I can not take over the world (I can always upgrade). I bet a keyboard will still magic and that I can still play a killer game of solitaire.
